Trip to Sweden part 3

I had to do more than one post about my trip because I have a lot of to say and a lot of pictures. This is the third and final post (Finally. I've made these posts for almost a month now lol. If you missed the first 2 posts, please check them out first from here and here.

After coming back to the ship from streets of Stockholm, we went to our cabin. I was tired after all that walking. After a while, we went to shop more to a Tax Free. Before we went to Sweden, we exchanged some euros to swedish crowns. So first of all, I wanted to use my cash crowns in Sweden and after use the rest of my cash in the ship. I bought few stuffs from there. I for example bought for my dog, Bruno, a Silja Seal toy. I had to buy it from a Tax Free because I didn't find any animal shop in Sweden. It was a little frustration because I tried to find an animal shop from Sweden very hard. I'm anyways happy with Silja Seal toy because it's cute and Bruno likes it a lot.

At some point we went to ship's deck. We walked around the entire ship. I can still feel the wind from there lol. The view was anyways beautiful.

We went for a while back to our cabin. There we just hanged out, drunk and chilled out while we played cards. At 7.30pm Gengis Van Gool had his amazing aerial acrobatics show Wheel of Death once again. We wanted to go to see that. At this time though, we were watching it from the other side which was a good variation.

The ship was in Mariehamn, Åland in the midnight. We went to watch it and get some pictures to the ship's deck. I was freezing but the view was really beautiful lol.

Our trip was almost over, so we wanted to go to party more. First of all, we went to that same bar where we were previously, Atlantis Palace. There was performing a band called Northern Lights. They presented some Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish hit songs along the years. We just listened their songs and chilled for a while. My friends even tried to dance little bit lol.

At some point we decided to go to check out one other bar also. It was called New York Club & Lounge. I liked it more. There was a lot of young people and the music was really loud. At some point I though that I'm losing my sight lol. We had a lot of fun and we danced like there is no tomorrow lol. We went back to our cabin at about 4.00am.

I couldn't sleep my beauty sleep at all in this trip lol. I was just able to sleep few hours. In the morning I was little tired but happy because I was finally able to go home and sleep more.

We arrived to Helsinki at 10.30am. My friends dad was picking us up from the port.

After all our little trip went so well. I want to go to Sweden again and be there longer. I also want to see my friends and family from there. Maybe that will happen in the short-term future, who knows.

Trip to Sweden part 2

I had to do more than one post about my trip because I have a lot of to say and a lot of pictures. This is the second post. If you missed the first one, please check it out first from here.

I didn't sleep well in the whole night. I still wasn't sleepy in a whole day which was a great thing. At some point in Stockholm I started to be little bit tired. We had a early waking-up because our breakfast was at 7.00am. There was available all kind of breakfast foods, for example eggs, bacon, bread, sausages, cereals, fresh fruits and all kind of different drinks. After eating we went back to our cabin to get ready. The ship came to port of Stockholm at 10.00am. We had to be back in the ship at 4.15pm.

The weather was actually pretty nice in Stockholm. We were prepared to a normal rain. We even had many umbrellas with us. But there was just a little drizzle all the time. It wasn't as bad as it could be which was really nice.

We had already thought about some places where we want to go and see. My friend also had an "old school" map where we were able to watch some subway stations and walking trails. First of all we walked to subway station which was quite close to the ship port. Near in the subway was two guys who wanted to ask some directions from us. They thought that we were local swedish people lol. First of all we went to Gamla Stan

From the subway station we had to walk little bit. I love those little swedish streets. We walked to a awesome shop called Science Fiction Bokhandeln AB. My friend like to read a lot of books, especially manga books. She had already looked up some informations about this awesome shop. That was the first shop where we came. We spent there a little (not that little lol) while. I absolutely loved all the little figures and stuff which there was. I only bought from there though a little Deadpool keychain.

Randomly after shopping in the science fiction shop, we decided to visit in the Stockholm Palace (The Royal Palace) because it's a very known attraction. At first we didn't know why there was a lot of nicely dressed guards standing in front of the royal palace as well as a lot of polices. One street was closed too. We were really curious about what is going on there, so we decided to stand there for a while and wait if something will happen.

The time was a little more than 12.00 in the afternoon. At first few police cars came. Then after police cars there was at least 50 riding polices. It was really cool. I still didn't know what is going on so I asked from a american couple from Ohio if they know something about this situation. I found out that the Canadian Prime Minister came to visit the royal couple and Sweden. The royal couple (King and Queen) had their own royal carriages. The queen came first, then the King and then the Canadian Prime Minister. It was really cool to see that all. I'm really glad because we decided to wait and see what's going on. It was worth it.

After seeing that all, we wanted to shop more. From Gamla Stan we walked to Norrmalm. There is a lot of shops and restaurants. While we were walking there, the weather became more drizzle.

At some point I bought really nice blue coloured headphones from a random small electronics shop. I don't remember it's name anymore. We found this really big, fancy and beautiful shopping center called NK, Nordiska Kompaniet. Everything was too expensive to our budget so we didn't buy anything.

H&M is originally a swedish shop. So we absolutely had to shop in there too. I bought from there a cream lipstick from NYX Liquid Suede in a shade of LSCL 09, tea & cookies. I love this shade a lot. The tube of it, it's bigger than the previous ones.

My swedish friend recommended to me a Max Hamburgare fast food place so we had to check it out. I ordered a normal cheese burger meal with of course Coca-Cola. It was very cheap and delicious. Max Hamburgare is little bit like a Mcdonald's but with bigger meals lol. Next time when I'm going to Sweden I have to eat there again.

After eating we went to some normal little food shops to buy something little. I bought some candy and water to home and for my little brother something also. When we were done with shops, we went to buy new subway tickets so we can go back to the ship.

There was some other places too, like few museums where we wanted to go but there wasn't enough time for them. They was anyways little bit further away from the Stockholms ship port so we decided to not go there.

We arrived to the port of Stockholm at about 3.00pm. So in the ship we were well in advance, one hour before we had to be there. The ship began to go back to Helsinki, Finland at 5.00pm.

Once again this post will continue in the next, final post... Stay tuned for that.

Birthday Bebe-bagels

My mother have a birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! I LOVE YOU! We celebrated it earlier though. Usually me and mother do a cake together for every party or other fancy festive event. Plus the main cake, I'm usually doing something little like for example some cookies or pastries. I absolutely love to do them.

At this time I wanted to do Bebes. I was reading a finnish Pirkka magazine and I noticed the recipe from there. In now days, I always read the food recipes first lol. I never tried to make Bebes so I decided to do them. Before that though, a few funny (not that funny lol) facts. Bebe-bagels have been made since early 1900s. Bébé is a French bagel.

BEBES

INGREDIENTS:

BASE:

200 grams of butter

1,5 deciliters of sugar

1 egg

4,5 deciliters of flours

CREAM FILLING:

0,5 deciliters of sugar

1 tablespoon of potato flour

2 yolks

1,5 deciliters of cream

150 grams of butter

2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar

ICING:

about 4 deciliters of icing sugar

little bit red or red shades juice

2,5 tablespoons of hot water

little bit nonpareils

MANUFACTURING:

1.  Take all the necessary ingredients up to your kitchen's table so they are available whenever you need them. Wash your hands and just start to bake.

2. Put the oven up to the 175 degrees Celsius.

3. Start to bake the cereal base, whisking the sugar and butter until it's stiff foam. When the mixture is lighter foam, add the egg quickly. Add flours in four batch. Stir the mixture between each batch.

4. Divide the prepared dough suitable parts. According to the original recipe, you could make 24 bagels but I was just able to make about 17 bagels. Press the dough to anointed bagel casseroles bottom and sides. It took me a while to do that. I didn't think earlier that it could take that much time. As a bagel casseroles I used small rose-patterned silicone ones from Lidl, Finland.

5. Bake them in center of the oven at 175 degrees Celsius about 12 minutes or until the edges are golden. After baking, cool the bagels for a while. When they are almost cooled, remove them carefully from their bagel casseroles.

6. For the cream filling, stir the sugar, potato flours, yolks and cream among themselves in the saucepan. Do not let it boil. After cooling it little bit, put it to the fridge.

7. Whip the soft butter until it's stiff. Add to it the cold cream filling from the fridge and vanilla sugar. Make it smooth.

8. Fill the bagel bases with the filling cream. It is very important to make the top of the bagels flat and nice. Let the bagels solidify in the fridge.

9. Stir the hot water and icing sugar to a smooth mixture. Use little bit of red shade of juice to make the mixture light pink. Spread the icing to top of the bagels. Decorate them with nonparels. Keep the Bebes in the fridge. It would be nice to cover them with for example a plastic bag or tinfoil so they don't take any flavors of the fridge itselves.

10. Enjoy eating them with for example a nice cup of coffee.

These have many baking stages. After all, it was pretty easy to make them. And they are absolutely delicious.
